An historical landmark in the community, its architecture speaks of the Victorian Age, with steep roof lines, arched dormers, and stained glass windows. The interior has been authentically re-decorated in keeping with memories of 19th Century tastes.  A wonderful view of forests, open meadows, wetlands and river banks provide a glimpse of New England's natural environment before urban development encroached upon the hilly terrain. Today, wildlife abounds in the area and new growth forests shroud old stone fence lines.  Special weekend events are held throughout the year for guests who share interests such as birding, Scrabble, Irish music and storytelling, women's issues, quilting, painting, and literature. The Marigold Room  has a double bed, the Forget-Me-Not Room has three twin beds, and the Peony Room has a double bed and two twin beds. Each room is furnished with antiques, heirloom quilts, and original art. Sumptuous country breakfasts feature organically grown fruits and berries in season and homebaked dishes. High carbohydrate foods for athletic contestants are available. Pickwick's Party Picnics are available upon request. All Party Picnic's are prepared with organically grown local fruits and vegetables. Baskets with themes such as "South of the Border" - a basket of hardy Tex-Mex delectables.
